Migs and Catrina have been married for about three years now. Migs currently works as a consultant to the Asian Development Bank, while Catrina is the retail manger for Jewelmer Inc.
Migs first met Catrina while she was sobbing in their house over some guy. Catrina thought Migs was a bit strange, a little too forward and weird but in a good way. They worked together in a company called Tomlinson and also finished their MBA degrees together. Since then they have held hands in three different hemispheres of the world, seven different countries, only to return home holding each others hearts.
Catrina drives Migs mad with her bullheadedness, so he decided earlier in their relationship that it is easier to say yes to everything. Migs drives Catrina crazy with his ability to imitate an immovable giant potato in front of a TV, so she gave him a big ass flat screen TV for his birthday, because Migs is happiest imitating a potato on hot Saturday afternoons. Migs wonders sometimes how someone half his size can contain that much energy. Catrina on the other hand wonders how someone who has so little bodily hair, sweat so profusely. Migs can’t imagine his life without Catrina. Catrina wonders why it took this long for Migs to realize that. Migs loves Catrina and believes she is the best thing that has ever happened to him. Catrina thinks, “damn right I am!”

Little Miguel was born on October 27, 2009. He entered the world screaming to be left alone, and once placed under the heat lamp, promptly went back to sleep. He screams out DADDY when he sees me, and DADDY when he sees his mom. He likes biscuits and his best friend is a stuffed toy Totorro. He does not like holding hands while walking, he is has no apparent fear, and his laugh is like musical bells in my ears. When he cries or is in pain, I want to cut open my heart if it would even so briefly, make him smile.
